Refund Policy

Owner: Hope Transcends Counseling and Coaching (“Hope Transcends,” “we,” “our,” or “us”)

This Refund Policy describes when and how refunds may be issued for services or products purchased through Hope Transcends. It covers counseling/coaching sessions, workshops and classes, community events, and digital products. By scheduling a service or purchasing a product, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not make the purchase or booking.

1. General Policy

All sales and bookings are generally final. Once a session has been scheduled or access to a program or material has been granted, we do not provide refunds for services already delivered. In other words, if you have attended a counseling or coaching session, or used a digital program, that portion of the purchase is considered fulfilled and non-refundable.

However, refunds may be available in certain situations as described below. We will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis, subject to the conditions and timelines in this policy. We encourage you to carefully review these terms when planning cancellations or purchases of bundled services.

2. Counseling and Coaching Sessions

Appointments for individual counseling or coaching sessions are reserved exclusively for you. Because of this, cancellations require advance notice:

  • 24‑Hour Notice Required: You must notify us at least 24 hours before a scheduled appointment to cancel or reschedule without penalty. We will then try to accommodate you at another time.

  • Late Cancellations & No‑Shows: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, and any appointments missed without notice (“no-shows”), will be charged the full session fee. Time and resources have already been set aside for you, so a late cancellation or no-show is billed in full.

  • Non-refundable Fees: All fees for scheduled sessions (individual or group) are non-refundable once booked. In other words, if you pre-pay or package-pay for a session, that payment cannot be returned after scheduling.

Example: Many providers enforce a 24-hour cancellation window to avoid a charge. Some coaches allow partial refunds if cancelled well in advance (e.g. 50% refunded if cancelled 72 hours before the first session, but our policy is as stated above unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Packages and Multi-Session Programs

If you purchase a package of multiple sessions (e.g. a block of counseling sessions or coaching package), all fees remain non-refundable. You must use the sessions in the package within the agreed time frame; unused sessions do not carry a refund. This is because we hold the time exclusively for you over that period.

4. Workshops, Classes, and Community Events

For classes, workshops, community events or other in-person group programs, refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel:

  • Cancellation 30+ Days Before Event: You may receive a full refund of the registration fee, minus any reasonable administrative or processing fees (such as a fixed booking fee).

  • Cancellation 14–30 Days Before Event: You may receive a partial refund (commonly around 50% of the fee).

  • Cancellation Within 14 Days of Event: No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days before the event.

  • Event Cancellation by Us: If Hope Transcends must cancel or significantly change an event, we will issue a full refund of all amounts paid for that event (including any fees) as soon as possible.

These timelines are guidelines. In special cases (serious illness, emergency, etc.), we may consider exceptions or credits for future events at our discretion. Please notify us promptly if you have any issues or emergencies that affect attendance.

5. Digital Products and Online Programs

Digital products (such as online courses, e-books, video recordings, or any downloadables) are non-refundable once access is granted. As soon as you register or purchase a digital program, we deliver it electronically (often immediately), so it cannot be “returned.” We therefore do not issue refunds for digital purchases or for program subscriptions after they have started.

For recurring subscriptions (billed monthly or periodically), you may cancel at any time to avoid future charges. However, any fees already charged for the current billing period will not be refunded. For example, if you pay for a month of an online program and then cancel, the payment for that month is final and non-refundable.

If you experience a technical problem (such as inability to download or access the content), please contact us for assistance. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve access issues, but resolution or partial refunds are not guaranteed.

6. Cancellations Before Services Begin

If you decide to cancel before any service has been provided or any program access granted, please notify us immediately. In some cases we may offer a refund of your prepayment (minus any transaction or administrative fees) at our discretion checkyourcompass.org. For example, if you cancel before your first scheduled session or before receiving login access to an online program, we will review the request and may refund part of your payment checkyourcompass.org. Any such refund would deduct applicable non-recoverable costs (such as credit card fees).

To request a cancellation or refund, contact us in writing (e.g. email) with your booking details. We will confirm receipt and inform you of the refund decision.

7. No-Shows, Late Cancellations, and Exceptions

Reminder: Cancellations with insufficient notice (as described above) and no-shows are not eligible for refunds and will be billed in fullcoachmartincounselingandcoaching.comnycreativetherapists.com. This includes missing individual appointments or failing to attend a scheduled class without timely notice.

Exceptions: We understand that emergencies happen. In rare and urgent cases (e.g. sudden illness, family emergency), we may make a one-time exception at our discretionnycreativetherapists.com. If you contact us immediately and have a valid reason, we may agree to credit your fee toward a future session or issue a partial refund. Such exceptions are granted case-by-case, not as a right.

8. Refund Method and Timing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible (e.g. back to your credit card or bank account). It may take several business days for your bank or payment processor to post the refund. We are not responsible for additional delays or fees charged by your financial institution.

If a payment was made by check or cash, we may offer a check refund or credit to your account. Any currency differences or processing charges are your responsibility.

9. Changes to This Policy

Hope Transcends reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time without prior noticenycreativetherapists.com. Any changes will be posted on this website with a new “Effective Date.” Your continued use of our services or purchases after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
